Real Estate Broker Continuing Education
Illinois real estate brokers must complete 12 hours of continuing education by April 30, 2020.
The 12 hour requirement must be completed during the pre-renewal period of May 1, 2018 to April 30, 2020. Six hours of CE must be mandatory Core A and Core B. Six hours can be elective courses. Continuing education completed during this period will be credited to the April 30, 2020 renewal date. If you’re not sure which courses you may have completed, click here to check the CE lookup page on the IDFPR website.
Please note: If you were licensed AFTER February 1, 2018 and this is your first renewal, you need to complete 30 hours of post licensing education (click here for more information). The post license course must be completed after May 1, 2018 in order to be credited to your 2020 renewal. If you’re not sure of the date your license was issued, click here to check the license lookup page on the IDFPR website.
Practicing attorneys are exempt from the continuing education requirements.
