This is where to start if you’re interested in a real estate career. To become a Real Estate Broker you need to complete a 75-hour Broker Pre-License Course Package and pass the State exam.

The Broker Pre-License package is taken in two parts:

  1. A 60-hour Topics course. Our topics course is given in a Flexible-Learning home-study format that includes voluntary attendance in 11 regularly-scheduled ongoing workshops held in various locations; OR our convenient Online Course.
  2. A 15-hour Applied Real Estate Principles course that requires mandatory classroom/webinar attendance. 15 Hour Course Only - $190

A proctored final exam is required for both courses with a minimum passing score of 75%. Students have up to two years to take the required state exam. The exam can be taken four times before having to repeat the course. Tuition is $599.00 and includes all text materials and access to our Student Only portal. A REALTOR® is a licensed real estate agent who is a member of the National Association of REALTORS®, (NAR) the largest trade group in the country.

Every agent is not a REALTOR®.  You become a REALTOR® after you pass your real estate course, pass the state license exam, join a real estate company and then join the National Association of REALTORS®.

According to the NAR, the term REALTOR has one, and only one, meaning:
"REALTOR® is a federally registered collective membership mark which identifies a real estate professional who is a member of the National Association of REALTORS® and subscribes to its strict Code of Ethics."

Michael Fair, President and Director of Your House Academy is an NAR member.
